Yesand.com will be shut down for a week, while we move the website into a new era. At the request of Asaf Ronen, owner of Yesand.com, we'll be re-envisioning the site from one of a moderately updated website on improv info with a forum, to a renewed look at the improv news site that YesAand was established to be. Think: The Huffington Post for improv and comedy. We'll be moving from vBulletin to Drupal. All the forum archives and user accounts will be converted in the next week. The site will be completely redesigned. You will have the ability to create blog posts and add content to the website. Your posts may get promoted to the front page. And more... The look and the way the forums work will be slightly different. Much of the BBCode used in the old posts will not carry over. Linking between old posts may not work as it used to. We will be trying to account for these things in the conversion process, but we may not be able to update all aspects of the site. The important aspect of this redesign is that we will be using a new system that will make the whole website easier to manage, develop and evolve over time in a way that the YesAnd community will be able to contribute in a greater way to the development of this website. We will be looking for people to write regular columns and articles. You will be able to comment on articles and posts and, overall, the new system will provide YesAnd with the tools it needs to move forward and truly become the improv and comedy information source that cannot be denied. The website will be shut down from Sunday, Sept. 21 through Saturday, Sept. 27. We will be back online at the end of the week. We look forward to providing you with a greater YesAnd.com experience. Cheers, Kevin Patrick Robbins on behalf of Asaf Ronen.
